Environmental Protection Strategy

Microware Group understands that environmental protection requires concerted efforts of enterprises and employees. Therefore, we have formulated and implemented a series of environmental policies and measures to fully implement "Green Office" concept in our daily work, and strive to achieve energy saving, carbon reduction and waste reduction at source:

Comply with all relevant HKSAR environmental legislation and standards and strive to surpass them

Set annual targets for carbon reduction, waste reduction, energy conservation and water conservation, and strive to transcend the targets. Review and adjust the targets in a timely manner according to business operations and strategies to continuously optimize the Group's environmental performance

Progressively implement electronic reform at all levels of work, such as the adoption of e-administration and procurement systems, to build a paperless office

Raise employees' awareness of carbon reduction and energy conservation, promote the culture of waste reduction at source, and encourage reduction, utilization, recycling, and recycling through various environmental protection activities and measures

Hazardous and non-hazardous waste that cannot be reused or recycled is disposed responsibly to minimize environmental impact

Customer's discarded electronic devices are properly sorted and recycled, functional parts are upcycled and reused, and damaged components are sent to licensed recyclers who meet ISO14001 international qualifications for disposal

Encourage the use of online meetings and training courses, and avoid unnecessary overseas business trips, so as to reduce the carbon footprint associated with transportation

Implement green procurement, prioritize suppliers who promote sustainable development where feasible and economically viable, and fully consider social and environmental impacts in the procurement decision-making process

In addition to sustainable business strategies and donations, we also encourage our employees to engage in volunteer activities to meet and serve different people in need, so as to gain a deeper understanding of the stories of each community and cultivate a sense of social responsibility.

ALBA IWS E-waste Management & Partnership 2024

As a leading IT solutions group in Hong Kong, Microware places great importance on environmental protection as well. Microware previously participated in the #WEEE, donating refurbished electrical appliances, and also attended the "ALBA IWS’ Awards Presentation Ceremony for E-waste Management & Partnership 2024", where Microware was presented the "Appreciation Award - E-waste Management and Partnership". This not only demonstrates Microware's outstanding performance in e-waste management and industry collaboration, but also reflects the company's unwavering efforts in fulfilling its corporate social responsibility.

Lai See Reuse and Recycle Program

Microware Group has always been willing to contribute to environmental protection and advocate green festivals. This year, we actively supported the "Lai See Reuse and Recycle Program" organised by Greeners Action by helping to collect the intact red packets from our colleagues and send them to the organisers for further processing, so that they can be reborn and reduce waste at source.

Giving Back To The Community

Microware Group firmly believes in “Giving Back To The Community ”, and actively supports various public welfare and charitable donation activities to give back to the society. Over the years, the Group has donated over 10 millions to charitable projects of various social welfare organizations, such as The Community Chest of Hong Kong, World Vision, Friends of the Earth, Orbis, Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council and Yang Memorial Methodist Social Service, to provide financial assistance and care to the needy and benefit the underprivileged.
Empower The Youth For The Bright Future

Microware Group has been actively investing in education, including cooperating with international charity organization Operation Blessing to support the education of poor rural children in Mainland, setting up scholarships and bursaries to reward or support Hong Kong university students, and supporting the employment of young people with special educational needs (SEN) through the non-profit organization Learning Support Services Association. Knowledge is power, and we are willing to be the strongest backing for children to help them realize their dreams.
